Ahh yes, but don't forget the new Spiral Staircase added to G-Stairway during Project Lifestyle. I was told it was a nostalgic tribute to the original (although they were very different). :)

I will NEVER forget that new staircase at G Stairway  ...on the final voyage to Dubai I fell from the top and tumbled ALL the way down to the bottom....and YES it was pretty painful.....the bruises were MASSIVE specially on my elbow which was swollen up 10 times its size...looked great on formal night with strapless ballgown LOL...in fact come to think of it on that final voyage I had a few accidents ( all alcohol free I might add!!)...I fell coming out the officers wardroom after a party....then I tripped over the pavilion threshold en route to my seat by the pool comnplete with trays of coffees and ice cream...and I didnt spill a drop!!!   somehow....I just dont think she wanted to let me go LOL

My fave double down room was the double staircase which was removed in the 94 refit..I much preferred the entrance at the G stairway to this room...

  • QE2 started a dream to go to sea - now a reality!
Did QE2 keep the sparkly ceiling until the end? Reason I ask is it seems familiar having mainly watched the evening/night shows looking down from Boat Deck.
