2015 Archive - August 2014 photo competition : Reflections and Shadows (closing 31 August 2014)

This month's theme is "Reflections and Shadows", chosen by Badger, the winner of the May competition.

It will be interesting to see what reflections and shadows we can bring to this theme from our photo collections -- there should be plenty of artistic views to choose from.

This will probably be the last month of photos to go into the 2015 calendar -- yours too might be one of the views we enjoy for a month next year!

The prize for the winner will be the QM2 book 'Queen Mary 2 - The First 10 Years' by Stephen Payne.  This was created for passengers on QM2's 10th Anniversary crossings and is not available for sale. Donated by Cunard.

The album is open -  so now is the time to look for your most interesting pictures on this theme. Wishing you fun as you search your photo collection to find three pictures to upload to the competition album:

The deadline for submitting photos is 31 August 2014. Voting will run from 1 September 2014 until 30 September 2014.

This is a fun theme! It took me quite a while to select three rather different pictures to enter.

I thought I was stuck, because I had no good photos of reflections, but then I realised it covered shadows as well, so I've just entered my 3.

Good to know that your QE2 photos are safe Rosie and hope have 3 to submit for this months theme.

 It is always surprising to see the interpretation of each month's theme and how many excellent photos are submitted.
