Photo of the month competition - instructions on how to vote for your favourite photo

Thank-you to everyone who submitted photos for the July Photo Competition "QE2 Funnel"  and thank-you to Isabelle Prondzynski the winner of the April competition for suggesting this theme.  We thought there would be a good response to this theme and we have not been disappointed at the quality of photos submitted.

Each member has 3 votes (but please do not vote for your own photo). Voting is open to all members regardless of whether or not you submitted a photo, but you must log in to the forum to vote.  Please choose up to three photos you want to vote for, note photo details, then tick the relevant boxes on the voting poll.

To make it easier for you we have posted the photos below but you can also view the photos submitted by members in the Gallery.   As there are so many photos this month you will probably get a better view of the photos in the Gallery where you can see them all at once, in thumbnail form and you can then click on the pictures shown, and click again, to see them in large size.

Click on the Gallery button from the forum or click on this link:
https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=120

The prize for the winner of the July Photo of the Month competition is a beautiful QE2 walnut photo frame donated by Isabelle Prondzyndki.  Thank-you Isabelle for donating this prize, which is an item of memorabilia that was only available onboard QE2.

You will not see the results until after the voting has closed on 1 September 2014 giving other time zones the chance to catch up with the voting deadline.

Please enjoy viewing these fantastic photos and thank-you for voting.

Another difficult choice, though I must say Ed1000's photo entitled "Departing Greenock, 5 October 2008" with the fireworks is absolutely stunning! Yet another set of brilliant photos. :)
"The QE2 is one of the last great transatlantic liners, and arguably the most famous liner in the world"

"QE2 and Concorde, a partnership that lasted almost 30 years... two stunning pieces of engineering, never to be forgotten!"

We have only had 14 members vote so far and now that we are three quarters through the month we could do with some more people voting for these wonderful photos. I know it is a difficult choice but have a go and vote for your three favourites.

I have just voted, and again, what a difficult decision it was.  All of the photos are absolutely spectacular and show our QE2 in all her grandeur !   :)

Really hard decision , beautiful images!.
Looking at all those 'side on' (mk2) funnel shots, I'm reminded of a Dalek minus its plunger, I expect this has been covered before on the forum. And certainly not out to offend the old girl here!

Shame there aren't more shots of the original funnel. All great photos, and I am looking forward to seeing the results. :)

Last day to vote! At the moment, we have a clear leader, together with three runners up.

So many excellent photos, and so few votes to go around… yours might make all the difference.
