The Cruise Ship
« on: Jul 09, 2014, 06:23 PM »
This coming Friday (11th July) on ITV at 8.00pm (20.00hrs) and for the following 3 Fridays (4 episodes in total).

A 'docusoap set on a cruise ship showing us life on board' the Princess Cruises Royal Princess as she sets sail in her maiden season.  She was launched last year by the Duchess of Cambridge.  According to my Radio Times there will be 'unprecedented access showing us life on board the 'Royal Princess'.  In Friday's episode we start off with an overflowing laundry problem!  Also a member of staff adapting to being away from home for the first time, as well as life at sea.

It may be available on the ITV Catch up.  Or maybe Rob or the more technical minded will have ideas on this.  I will certainly post to let you know if it is worth watching.

I watch the Cruise Ship program yesterday but was not very impressed.  You should be able to view if you look at the catch up link for yesterday's date.

Episode 1 will be available for the next 29 days

The only decent ship programme you will ever see is from the 80s with Alan Whicker and his Fast Boat to China programme.
None of this fly on the wall stuff, just good old fashioned down to earth professional reporting. and the fact its on QE2 is totally by the way.. ;)
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

I totally agree with the comments made.  I was not at all impressed with the film - what a load of rubbish.  I missed last Friday's episode but guess I did not miss much.

As I have just posted elsewhere - QE2's Timewatch programme is currently available on BBC4 iplayer until next Sunday (10th August) so sit back and enjoy one more time and watch a real star at work!!!!  She puts them all well and truly in the shade!!
