Hi Nick, welcome to the forum. Interesting story about your tooth getting infected mid way crossing the Atlantic.  :)
"The QE2 is one of the last great transatlantic liners, and arguably the most famous liner in the world"

"QE2 and Concorde, a partnership that lasted almost 30 years... two stunning pieces of engineering, never to be forgotten!"

Welcome to the Forum, Nick! I loved the bakery products on board QE2, the freshness and the variety.

I wonder what sort of baking you were doing in 1979 -- bread, cakes, biscuits, desserts?

What a shame about losing a tooth just before your 21st birthday -- but then, you were in the hands of an excellent medical team I imagine :).

Looking forward to hearing more -- and do look around, you will find other bakers here too!

Hi Nick and welcome to the QE2 Story forum.

It would be great to hear more from you about your time on board. How long did you stay on QE2 and did you stay in the same job throughout your time on board?

We have more from another Baker who was on board at a  similar time as you were and I wonder did you know each other? Follow this link to read Gary's story.
