Hi Chris,
Those are wonderful videos, and such fun! Everyone involved must have had a great time -- I just wish someone would tell us about how they were made.

They've been posted in this thread before, it is great to see them.

If only I could get that tune out of my head now  ;)   !

QE2 had been waiting alongside in Dubai for what seemed like ages...Please don't leave her looking more like a Hotel-with-a-Hull than the greatest Liner afloat - Please restore her Lifeboats and Tenders to where they truly belong - she looks naked without them - please spare her this ignominy.

Just looking at my QE2 photos and here's one that's a familiar sight to us all, I am sure... looking up from Boat Deck.

Excellent view!  Its a shame the oblong windows from the original Double Up Room were plated over.  The space seemed so much more open and inviting with light entering in from port, STBD and aft. But alas, the shops needed to go somewhere...pity.

A little slide show I created with photos I have amassed over the years, some of mine, most from the net, showing how the ship has changed over the years.

Doesn't this really emphasise the fact that she should be sailing, and Must Come Home?

Forum member Noel Schwarz, who loves the FRANCE / NORWAY above all, and QE2 as his second favourite, has sent us links to his gallery in the French-speaking section :

http://tdm99.skyrock.com/

2004 May, arrival in New York in tandem with QM2 : http://tdm99.skyrock.com/10.html

2006 July, stopover in Cherbourg : http://tdm99.skyrock.com/146.html

2008 August, mini cruise on board :  http://tdm99.skyrock.com/51.html

And he concluded :

It's : " SIMPLY THE BEST " !!!

I love the picture of his hand on her much repainted hull -- should have taken something like that too...

And he loves the picture of QE2 flying the French flag! Nice combination of France with QE2  ;D  !

Thank you, Noel -- and enjoy yourself here with us!

There are some lovely webcam shots from QE2 on his site there that we don't have in our collection for our 'virtual webcam' - i wonder if he'd donate them to us, to add to the pool?

Great website, great photos, great passion.  And the hand-on-the-hull is something i should have done too.  Amazing how she looks black from far off, but is clearly 'federal grey' close up!

I love the hand on the hull photo.  I never got close enough to the outside shell to do anything like that but would have jumped at the opportunity.
