Just an idea but having read Waverley's sad story of the lost camera, I figured it would be nice to have an area set aside where we could share pictures of 'Our Queen'.  I know some of you already from the Flickr community and have much enjoyed looking through your photographic memories and I'm sure others would also.  With this in mind and to start things off, if I show you mine will you show me yours...?

Andy,
What a brilliant idea.  I have had a quick look at your super photos.   Brought back the good memories already.  Thanks for adding these to to website.

Thanks Andy, you reminded me- after a year or so i signed into my Flickr account and found SOME QE2 photos. I will add more soon. I hope this helps with the lost camera.

I wouldn't go that far Matt but thank you and I'm pleased you liked them, as indeed I did yours.  Looks like I was following you around the Med last year as visited Lisbon, Piraeus and Zakynthos also on Med Sojourn in the September.

We've made a start but I'm sure there's many, many more shots out there waiting to be discovered and shared...

Andy, excellent idea.

This is the link to my QE2 folder on Flickr:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/piasosua/sets/72157603687239701/

Most of them were taken last September on a westbound TA plus a trip up the US east coast into Canada, but it doesn't matter too much because they are more of the ship than the destinations...

Great to see you're still here -- and sorry not to be with you tonight as I'm spending a night ashore  :(

Still, the photos will cheer us up!

So glad that, between us, we have so many on Flickr... they never fail to make me happy (or to send me into deep despair...).

Mine are here, and a few more hundreds to come, one of these days...

Happy pictures, all of them!

Good Evening Ladies and thank you both for sharing your wonderful pictures with us all.  Hope you enjoy your time shore-side Isabelle and we look forward to welcoming you back on board soon - don't forget your Ship's ID though!  May catch you later when you go for your swim as I may have a lounge in the hot tub!

We need help to spread the word if you are willing?

Would anyone be happy to post a link to the forum on their profiles or with QE2 sets?
Anyone able to do the same with any QE2 / Cunard groups on flickr? (or anywhere else?)
Andy - aren't you a moderator on one of them?

Yours hopefully!

This sounds and lookks a Really Good Idea - another suggestion typical of the Guests of the Greatest Liner the World Has Ever Seen
I spent hours yesterday uploading about 6 images on Flickr - instead of the hundred or so that I tried to download(?) - so in between Watches, typing, reading and of course Snow Balling, I'll get on with it...

Have posted a link to forum on "Admirers of Great Ocean Liners" and "QE2 Crew, Travellers and Fans" (think that is exact title!) groups on Facebook.  Have also posted link on Facebook wall of liner fanatic in US (who has hundreds of friends).

Great news Ladies and I've placed a link on my QE2 Final farewell blogsite also.  Ali - I am indeed and shall post a link on that and the other Cunard related groups I belong to when next on Flickr
