I looked up both Alang and Bhavnagar. Alang is a census town in Bhavnager. Bhavnager is a very large area that includes Alang, so by saying Ruby is headed to Bhavnagar, she could very well end up at Alang. The actual city of Bhavnagar is a bit inland, so the green company, who lists Bhavnagar as its headquarters, must have a ship breaking location somewhere on the coast.

Hi June

On Google Earth there are what appear to be as number of dry docks, North of the town, on the Un Named River,  East of the stayed bridge
only time will tell her final destination

There is an office address and a site address on that website so their headquarters could be inland and remote from the actual shipbreaking yard

I was now able to get to the gallery.  Wonder if Cunard knows that QM2 is advertising a ship breaking company...

Ocean Gala used to be the Stardancer, remember seeing her tied up behind the Cunard Princess in LA when we were doing mexican cruises in 1988. She was a Cruise ferry before that.
