She is up the Malacca Straight  at this time, I wonder if they will alter the AIS destination

Is her AIS still showing her as Oasis instead of Oasia ?

According to Marinetraffic she is using here own power, and not being towed. That means that she will make here way to the end with some dignity, instead of being towed around.

Hi
She was off Kuala Lumpur  at 03;00

AIS showing:  Name as OASIS   Destination  Singapore EOPL, Underway, Speed 9 Knots, Heading 296 deg

Strange In that area I would expect more frequent updates Also speed seems very low if she is using her own engines

Thanks, Bob and Roy !  It is true that there is dignity in making her way to the end under her own power.

In regard to the speed, do you think she is conserving fuel ?

That is one thing that I feel so badly about is that QE2's propulsion system was basically ruined.  Terrible !!

Just looked at  a satellite view of Bhavnagar it looks to be more organised than the beaches of Alang,
hopefully her demise there will be a bit more dignified
