Hi everyone, I'm sure during Queen Victoria's overnight stay in Liverpool will be a really enjoyable one for all those going to see her and, for the forum members who will be boarding her for an afternoon visit. I hope everyone who comes to our city enjoys their time here as there is so much to see from a maritime aspect. There is also a new venue to see which is a stones throw from where Victoria will be berthed.
Just recently we went to an open day of "30 James Street, Home of Titanic". This building was the former headquarters of the White Star Line and is now being converted into a hotel. It is a striking building with so much history to be found by a little research. It is literally just across the road from the Cunard Building so even if members don't cross the road to visit they can still take photos opposite it and see were
J. Bruce Ismay and his directors planned Titanic. I think this connection to Cunard is really interesting and I hope other members see it that way too!
