Deposit paid for the evening meal at Gusto and I am almost there with the arrangements for lunch at the Crowne Plaza.  I am still awaiting a few payments for the lunch, which would be good to get within the next week.

On the Friday evening we will be meeting at the Crowne Plaza and so far we have twelve people for that part of our get together.

This is the lounge "booth" option for the Friday evening, which I have asked to be reserve for us to meet around 8 pm.  We can move if we need more room, but it gives a space to initially meet.

I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Isn't Queen Victoria's departure time 16.00 hours?
Think so!

The fireworks display is on the Friday evening, so the time that Graham suggested seems about right.

The ship's sail away is on the Saturday afternoon.

Yes that's right. The events on the Waterfront, for the cruise season opening, start on the Thursday with the arrival of the Ruby Princess and continue on the Friday with the arrival of the Queen Victoria. QV's arrival coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Maiden Voyage of the RMS Aquitania culminating in the firework display Friday night. QV remains in berth overnight and sails the next afternoon around 16:00hrs.

As it is less than two weeks to go before the Liverpool get together, we have put together an itinerary for your information.  Remember if you are joining us for lunch at the Crowne Plaza we require payment before Friday 23 May.
https://www.theqe2story.com/Liverpool2014.php

Remember to bring your passport with you for the tour of Queen Victoria.  Passports are surrendered at check in and returned to you when you disembark the ship.  No passport, no entry!!

Friday evening:
20:00 onwards meet at the Crowne Plaza Residents Lounge.  Booth for eight people reserved to give us a base.
23:00 fireworks display

Saturday:
8:30 meet in the foyer of the Crowne Plaza Hotel ready to depart for security.  We will walk from there to check in for the tour of Queen Victoria.  If you are not there at 8.30, you'll probably  be left behind!

SueonOne deck will be joining us onboard Queen Victoria at the Grand Lobby - we'll get in touch with Sue to tell her to loiter there looking for a large group of interlopers!

Tour of Cunard Building will be immediately after the Queen Victoria tour - 12:00 for one hour.

13:30 – 15:30  Buffet sandwich lunch at the Crowne Plaza Hotel

15:30 –  entertainment on quayside prior to Queen Victoria sail away at 16:00

19:30 – Dinner at Gusto Italian

The forward weather forecasts for Fri/Sat don't look promising.

It may change. There has been rain forcast for us all week, but they've changed it to sun every day.
