As Lynda is away at the QE2Story Forum get-together, it falls to me (somewhat embarrassingly...) to declare the winners. Great theme, Afternoon Tea, and great memories brought back by all these pictures!

This picture is the winner this month :

Cakes and doilies by Isabelle Prondzynski

And we have three runners-up :

Sun deck afternoon tea by Seagreen

Afternoon Tea Al fresco by Cunardqueen

The scene is set by Cunardqueen

Congratulations all round!

I was introduced to this tradition as a child onboard QE2 and enjoyed it immensely over the 10 years my family and I sailed on QE2.  How I wish I could have experienced it and enjoyed it all the more as an adult on QE2.

Great photos by all. Thanks for letting me enjoy it vicariously through your pictures!

Well done Isabelle !
As someone who in all my sailings hardly missed an afternoon tea, i can safely say l never once skipped a tray of the fancies.

The picture Al fresco was taken late one afternoon on the homeward crossing from New York, it was just sitting there and l just had to grab a picture.

The Scene is set was taken in Greenock, my parents were coming onboard for the day, the afternoon tea my dad still heaps praise upon as being the best tea ever, and mum wishes she had taken the tart that she declined when offered. and as for me, Afternoon Tea on QE2 was and always will be the standard l judge others by.

Thanks for voting the pics as a runner up twice..

Thank you, June. I just love the winning photo, beautifully taken and such a superb ice sculpture too (as well as being useful!)!

Great to see another name appearing among the prize winners of these competitions. Badger, make sure we get to admire some more of your photos :) .
