Congratulations to Southfielddan, the winner of the September Photo of the Month Competition.  This is an excellent photo and one that was a favourite from the start.

Yes, I would be very much in favour of that, just as we have split up the entries and votes by calendar year too.

The theme "QE2's Wake" resulted in members uploading lots of interesting and beautiful photos to the gallery for the competition.

Congratulations, Seagreen -- this is a stunning photo which took my breath away from the first time I saw it. Good thing you were in the right place at the right time to take the QE2 wake with such a fantastic background!

And Hamburger, thank you too -- the QE2 wake at high speed is what we all love to remember, and you caught it so well...
