Looks as if wonderful Waverley has taken a trip to Greenock today :)
It also looks as if the website has also had a refit  - there are some magnificent photos and text here:

There are some good photos on the website. She really is a pretty little steamer. :)

Photo of the last ocean going paddle steamer in the world, on her first trip of 2014, to her annual dry docking in Greenock.

Seems a bit late to me... what happens if they find a snag?  She could have been sailing this bank holiday weekend... but what do I know!?

Why have they only emailed me once this year? They should be emailing weekly now and reminding everybody that the season starts this weekend.

Hi Rob,

Garvel has been busy with other work (mainly Calmac ferries) so its maybe a mix of funds (raised from pre-season sales) and the DD being able to fit her in. The good news is shes out of DD and back at her berth at Glasgow Science Centre.

Her sailings start on the Clyde this holdiay weekend and then heading to Oban on Tues for her usual Western Isles sojourn.

Heres hoping for another good summer of weather and passenger numbers!!

The paddler's 2014 season is underway!

Seen here approaching Kilcreggan, River Clyde this morning.
This photo was originally posted on Clydesite's FOGHORN board by Paul Hunter http://www.clydesite.co.uk/

I hope to sail on her this year - it will be first time on board since 2011.

Fantastic write up of Waverley's western isles cruise this year, surely one of the world's great maritime adventures?

Brilliant photos that capture the beautiful Scottish Scenery.  I have failed two years running to be at the right place at the right time to allow me to go on the Waverley for her sailings to the Western Isles.  Maybe next year!  :)
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank
