QM2 "City Terminal"Southampton
« on: Aug 09, 2013, 01:16 AM »
Queen Mary 2 approached the "City Terminal" this morning just after 6.00am after turning around and came in Port Side too @ Berth 101 "City Terminal" Looking Fabulous in the early morning sunlight with a little fog to add to the view.
After asking lots of people whom work on the dockside if she has ever moored at Berth 101, no one appears to remember if she ever has before. Can anyone enlighten me if she has before ?? and if so WHEN ?? Thanks

I noticed she had berthed at the terminal although all the other schedule sources had the ship alongside at the QEII terminal.  Any idea why the change?

In addition Queen Mary 2 has docked at the City Terminal before, the dates I have are;

25 June 2010
27 April 2012

Ventura and Azura get Ocean Terminal no matter what due to their passenger capacity and Ventura was in yesterday and the QEII Terminal is currently full of new cars.

I believe it was the fifth time she berthed at City Terminal, alongside Mayflower park -
however this may be one too many!

After a week of asking questions, I have been given yet another reason which "Carnival" are, I believe trying to keep quiet, is that scheduled works by Rail Network where and still are taking place between berth 46 & 38, with temporary traffic lights operating either side of the rail link up to QE11 Terminal (Berth 38) which of course would be very inconvenient  however we have  Princess Caribbean arriving at 5.00 am in the morning. Gods knows what backlog that is going to create
