Check out this "Travel Agent's Model".... yours for the princely sum of £50.00 but hurry

EBay - QE2 Travel Agent's Model

Don't you just love that funnel and mast and the blue hull is a nice touch, really captures the essence of the ship don't you think?.

I wonder how many voyages were sold on the back of this?   ;D

The funnel base is on back to front isn't it?

Well... she could sail faster astern than most ships can forwards, so...

My goodness, it's got 10 bids so far and is currently at £124.

I do wonder, though, looking at it whether it might have been converted from a model of a ferry?

The modeler was likely drunk.  The more I drink, the better it looks though....

I'm thinking of going into production. Not a lot of skill or accuracy needed and could be a nice little earner?

It says it's a travel agents model.  Imagine your surprise if you thought you'd booked to go on that strange looking ship, then found yourself on QE2!

I think it's a Chinese model and I'm sure I've seen them a number of times. I think it's worth next to nothing...

Rob, amazingly it would appear at least 3 people disagree with you to the sum of £124!

Couldn't resist another peek at the model... it SOLD For £124, a 124 pounds!!!!  Only a few days ago a beautiful model of QE2 in her white funnel days, properly mounted inside a glass case and built by a specialist company in New York went for £47

I must admit to having a chuckle again, can you imagine whoever built it stepping back, taking a good hard look and saying "yep, I nailed it with this build.  What's next?"
