Some shots of her arrival yesterday (photos used with kind permission of Paul Hunter)

Also - some good ones taken from Greenock Ocean Terminal quayside http://www.dougie-coull-photography.co.uk/date/2013-05-15/2013-05-15#!i=2513587852&k=Mvc9qXn

Departure in the evening - the sun was out for a change. Greenock Esplanade was busy - just goes to show that a Cunarder on the river still tugs the heartstrings of a Clydesider!

(these are from my phone so apologies for quality)

Queen Mary 2  is looking good in Greenock.  We shall be boarding her in New York on the 1st  June  to sail back to Southampton.  Really looking forward to that. I wonder if any other forum members are on the same cruise, if so please make contact with us.

Thanks so much for these  :) - tugging at the heart strings was probably putting it mildly!
I wonder how many in Greenock when they see her are also thinking of  'QE2' :(

I would suggest most of us! I heard a few people around us talking about QE2 with fondness. Despite QM2 being a more "modern" ocean liner design she still cuts it for me compared to the cruise liners - the dark hull and light superstructure give the Cunarders a touch of class IMHO.

Yesterday was the first of 40 liner calls at Greenock this year (not all different ships I might add!!)

Started off with the best so would it be unfair to say its downhill from here?  :-\

Hi Barrie,

You lucky person! Seeing QM2 last night made us both start looking towards another passage in 2014!

Enjoy...

Or the only one, depending which way one looks at it!

Your photos are fab. I really appreciate QM2, and from some angles she looks wonderful. But from some other angles I think she looks like a giant top heavy barge... QE2 had less bad angles!

Thanks for sharing the photos.

I was glad to see that the sun was shining for her sail away in the evening.  It was very cold with heavy showers here in Scotland yesterday.  I felt sorry for QM2 passengers arriving here when it was so cold, but hope they enjoyed their day on the Clyde.
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Thanks for the comments folks.

The thing I find fascinating is that 8 (or so) weeks prior to QM2 arriving on the Clyde she was in NZ!!

These ships fair get around!
