New York departure photos

  Apologies in advance if these photos have been posted previously (Mods do your stuff), I'vecertainly never seen  them, New York various I'd call them,hope anybody looking enjoys. Page down list on l h s of screen, to qe2 if not taken there by this link.

Great photos :) ...

Now, who is Jonathan Atkin? Is he a Cunard photographer? Some of the pictures look remarkably similar to official photographs I have seen, and they look as though taken from a helicopter.

There is a page on Jonathan's site dedicated to who he is here:

It would suggest that he has taken these photos on behalf of a client, be that Cunard or NY Port Authority.

This was one of two helicopters that followed us..
I suspect he was in this one..it got closest to us .This particular view they paused there, no doubt taking in the spectacular and rare view of QE2. For what its worth I had my pride flag hanging over the edge...
