QE2 had been waiting alongside in Dubai for nearly 12 years.  Please restore her Lifeboats and Tenders to where they truly belong - she looks naked without them - please spare her this ignominy.

Interesting!  And sounds far more like QE2 than QM2.
Passionate about QE2's service life for 37 years and creator of this website.  Worked in IT for 27 years and created my personal QE2 website in 1994.

I withhold judgement at this stage. To me, this is rather more interesting looking than any of those floating apartment blocks or amusement arcades we have been getting such a surfeit of -- would love to see more details...

At least, it's a radically different look!

Errr... yes... it certainly is a radical new look...

I'll bet the designers have a lot of fun pull out a lot of hair doing the maths for the stability on that...

Link here to a story of a new "S.S. France" Assuming the project comes to fruition, the keel of the new SS France is due to be laid at the STX Shipyard in Saint Nazaire as early as 2013 with the first passengers expected to be welcomed on board in 2015.

Certainly Brave and definitely interesting, if that came sailing into port I think you'd have to go and have a look, perhaps in contrast to many modern ships?  Here's to a new design direction...
