wouldn't it be fantastic to see her in Sydney harbour instead of being turned into razorblades?

Hi y"all, i worked on the QE2 for 1 year 1970 to 1971 as chief officers steward looking after staff captain, chief sparky, etc. Now living in Australia and just found out she will be scrapped by the Chinese, i want to see her in Sydney Harbour using the London plans!!!

Welcome to the Forum Roger and looking forward to hearing more about your year onboard QE2.

I was interested in your topic heading to bring QE2 to Australia/Sidney as when I was speaking to my hairdresser on Friday he was telling me that the only twice he saw QE2 was for a St Andrews golf tournament when she was anchored nearby and in Sidney Australia.  He said she was a magnificent sight with the Sidney Opera House in the background.

At the moment we need to support QE2 London to give her a chance of a secure future.

If you need any advice about posting or adding photos just ask and one of the Moderators will respond.
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

I wonder if we can convince the wealthy Australian, Mr Palmer, to give up his idea of building a new 'Titanic', and just buy the QE2 instead! Chris, do you have his phone number?

QE2 to australia?

Alas I don't.

They did try and bring QE2 to Australia for the 2011 ISAF world sailing championships.

Fremantle were serious. Her owners wouldn't participate in any meaningful discussions however, due to costs.
