Not that anyone really uses it, but the QM2 featured on Bing! :)

She was in Norway at the time.

Now that's a picture that would be perfect for a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle isn't it? :)

It is a superb image of the ship in Geiranger Fjord.  I can remember sailing on QM2 on this fjord in 2007.  The water was calm, QM2 was dwarfed by the height of the fjord and the atmosphere was electric.
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

I too sailed into Geirangerfjord on QM2 in July of 2010 and it looked exactly as pictured. We were so lucky to have excellent weather for the whole day that we were there. Anybody know the date that picture was taken?

Pictures like this always make me think of the photographer. A whole lot of rhetorical questions arise in my mind...

Was this taken from land with a strong zoom?

Was it taken from the fjord in small craft? Did anyone on board spot the craft and wave to the photographer?

Did the photographer plan this a long time in advance and made sure s/he was there, or was it a chance encounter?

So many stories that could be told...

And yes, it would make a wonderful jigsaw!

I cannot confirm that the date that I have in mind is the correct one, but when we were on QM2 Fjords & Waterfalls Voyage 17th-24th June 2011, on our way up GeirangerFjord the ship slowed down to a snails pace & it was announced over the tannoy that the fast speed launch/rescue boat was to be launched with the ships   photographer onboard to photograph the ship from the fjord as we approached Geiranger, the photos were then on sale, the evening after in the photo shop. Maybe the answer to your queries.
I agree a great photograph to be re-produced as a Jigsaw

Would it be fanciful to suggest that there might be the wake of a small launch in the foreground of this picture?
