19.6 knots max recorded - doesn't sound too bad to me!

Hopefully the same again tomorrow, departure time 9.00am
Does anybody know how far out she went to obtain 19.6 knots, must of been well beyond the Nab Tower, incidently she always uses a tug for port manouveres and her bow thrusters sound awful at the best of times.

As of 22.59 16th Feb she was in traffic separation going down channel at 14.5 knots off Swanage. Trip to Lands End and back perhaps?

Looks like she has been given a clean bill of health, just had a call from our office, requesting that we attend berth 101 as of 10.00 am 20th Feb to receive guests as of 11.00am with a view to sailing at 21.00 hours

Good Look "RUBY"

That's quite a relief! Bad enough to see her time running out, so at least hopefully she will be able to make good use of what time remains. I shall now want to check whether I could catch up with her at any port I might be visiting...

Hoping very much for all her passengers and crew that it'll be plain sailing for her from now on.
It is extremely sad that they cancelled the entire Pacific sector,
in particular for all the poorer ports that would have been depending on the ship's visit for income.
There were a significant number of these.
QE2 had been waiting alongside in Dubai for nearly 12 years.  Please restore her Lifeboats and Tenders to where they truly belong - she looks naked without them - please spare her this ignominy.

For anyone wanting to keep up to date with her new "Grand Adventure" go to "Saga Ruby Captains Blog" as it has been recently updated with details of her sailaway from Southampton.

She is doing well, with no problems reported other than a little inclement weather endured in the Bay.
Thank you "Isabelle" for your edit, could you please do it again as the "Captain" has posted another update, seems they are having plenty of fun.

Thank you, Trev -- it's all part of the job!

The blog link in your first posting is still fine; the page has just grown in length, with the latest posting at the top. Wouldn't it be nice to be there with them, looking forward to a long voyage on this beautiful ship...
