I don't think it's rare enough to be worth that, but good luck to the seller as they certainly are lovely brochures. Will be interesting to see if it sells.

Great little mention of The QE2 Story at the end of his description!

The asking price is way above the price that the same booklet was sold for on ebay earlier this year.

Wasn't me!

QE2 had been waiting alongside in Dubai for nearly 12 years.  Please restore her Lifeboats and Tenders to where they truly belong - she looks naked without them - please spare her this ignominy.

Difficult to say; most of the time I'd expect an item to be used on the ship depicted on it, but on the other hand QE2 was Cunard's icon and therefore likely to have been used more generally at times.  My gut feeling, however, says it will be from QE2 because it is an older image one which means it pre-dates the era of hyperactive marketing, meaning it's more likely than not to have been at least intended for QE2 use only.

I note the outline is the original one, meaning it dates from the time before Cunard's fleet was depleted, which complicates things a bit - had it been the rebuilt outline then it would be more certain it was definitely on QE2.

Another point: The seller has labelled it QE11 not QE2, so it's less likely to be found by general QE2 searches, so it shouldn't get bid up too high...

These rings have cropped up before on ebay and do tend to sell quite well. As Peter says because of the incorrect spelling it does narrow the search down quite a lot. In saying that search QE2 and up comes hundreds of stamps >:( >:(

Anyone fancy a toast to the "Queen"---

At times l question if some ebay sellers really know what they are doing. If the seller added postage at £10 they would still make a profit and not only that but it would vastly increase the attractable value of it. This buyer collects stuff is a nightmare both for buyer and seller

And this particular case has some important information missed out completely, which in effect voids the listing
When you get to know the inner workings of Ebay... (well perhaps lm saying too much here so will best keep a closed mouth  :-X)

Yes, having just had a look at it, I suspect that listing will not last long!

These car badges do crop up now and again, i'v managed to over the years buy four of them for various prices and resold them to make a profit. Im keeping one of them, Cant think anyone would dare display it on a car in case it was stolen.
But one of them is sitting in a very prominent QE2 crew members house.
They should generally come in a small box with the fixing attachments which pushes the price up . Generally they will sell for between £60 - £100

These sellers on ebay must have  a heart attack when an item is mentioned on here, Not only in the number of page hits shooting up But also in the number of people watching an item.
But then any ebayer will tell you, you can have as many people watching your item, but there is no sure way of knowing if it will sell. :)

.. And if any of our members are QE2-eBayers, they should feel free to plug their own items on here if they wish.
