To answer Cunardqueen--i have bought from this man before and have found him to be a REALLY nice man, and also a VERY reputable E-Bayer.!! ;D-- ;)-- :)-- In this instance i was unable to bid on his item as i was watching and bidding on another item. HOWEVER--if he re-lists it--maybe at a lower price--i will be bidding for it.!!--LOL

On June the 27th---Reply 98-- i posted a link to an item on E-Bay--a QE2 Napkin Ring. It did not sell. It was on E-Bay again recently and i placed a bid for it. I then promptly forgot all about it as i was busy looking at other QE2 items--(which i have subseqently won) and also spending a fair bit of time here on the "Forum" enjoying myself. I then received a mail from E-Bay telling me that i had won the Napkin Ring. :) I got it for the asking price and it will make a nice additon to my collection. Picture enclosed---

Seems a very cheap price for a souvenier of the QE2 1984 World Cruise.--are there any  members of the Forum who were on that cruise?---

Note:  link no longer access the page so has been removed

Yes but as a Transatlantic passenger as opposed to a First Class passenger l really shouldnt have been there.
However my initial reaction was that they had a bit of a recline in them so when you were sitting you were laying back further than perhaps you would wish for, then again sitting on them and perhaps leaning forwards wasnt perhaps the best either, But to look at they are so wonderful.
( I can feel a topic coming on here ;))

Here is another interesting find on E-Bay--  A QE2 "Bow Flag" that is for sale--

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CUNARD-QE2-Bow-FLAG-rare-item-/160636960854?pt=UK_Collectables_Nautical&hash=item2566b58056

I just wonder how the seller managed to get hold of it  :-\--hope this is not another item that was "pilfered" as was the recent "Clock".

t least it is not a fixture, but a disposable item. Flags don't last long. At least not on Lone Gerd anyway!

Buy it.  Have a furniture company to create exact replicas.  Sell them at a nice wee profit.  Who's with me?  I'll take 2!
Hmm, the mark-up on those Dubai DVDs must be greater than I thought lol!  ;)
Start every day with a smile and get it over with

Even if this IS  from the maiden voyage--it still seems darn expensive for what it is---

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CUNARD-LINE-RMS-QE2-1969-BOXED-SILVER-COCKTAIL-STICKS-/230580996167?pt=UK_Collectables_Nautical&hash=item35afb2c847

It is expensive, BUT imagine one in a nice g&t, then again would you ever use them..
It has been listed and re listed a few times, perhaps that should tell the seller to reduce the price, then again lm sure with all the people on here "watching" and the page views  perhaps the seller is expecting full price..

Well done on winning the Funnel !! It would appear to be a very rare item. I assume the case cannot be opened? and where do you display it at?
The dish thing, l bought one years ago and the seller classed it as an ashtry, l would have said its a bit too decorative for an ashtray, and perhaps its best suited as a pin dish.
Anyone else have any thoughts? What do you use yours for? the E2 logo might perhaps make it appear older than it actually is?
