This Month's Theme "QE2 at Night"

Hamburger, the winner of the May Photo competition, has chosen the theme "QE2 at Night" for the October competition.

We are sure that this theme will generate lots of photos taken at night onboard the ship and of the exterior of ship by admirers.

The album is open so now is the time to look for your best three photos to upload.

The deadline for submitting photos is 31 October 2012.  Voting will run from 1 November 2012 until 31 November 2012. 

Prize:

This Month's Prize has been donated by Marc-Antoine Bombail is a Swiss-born graphic designer with a passion for sea travel and ocean liners, especially Cunarders.  He has sailed many times on QE2 and other Cunard ships, and continues to do so whenever possible.

The prize on offer this month is a copy of his wonderful Cunard Log Book (2008 Edition).  This book features some lovely illustrations and is something that the winner will treasure.  The 2012 version of the book is featured and the mab-creations web site where you can see what a quality item this is, although it has a different cover and illustrations.

I have started to work on the poll for the October Photo of the month competition.  Twenty-six wonderful photos have been submitted so far but there is still time to submit your photos before of the deadline of midnight on 31 October. 

See above for details of this month's prize, which is is a copy of the wonderful Cunard Log Book (2008 Edition)

By submitting your photos to the competition we all get a chance to remember the QE2 at her best and it helps to keep her memory alive.

Peter you can use previously used photos as long as the photos fit the theme.

I must admit and hate to say it BUT if it wasnt for these timely reminders then l would miss a lot of the entries.It usually involves racking the memory and then trying to find the photos,   It might be interesting to see what entries appears after these reminders go out...

Thanks Myles.  Since the reminder was sent out on Monday we have had an addition 10 photos entered for the competition and an additional 16 members have voted for the September competition.  Thank-you to everyone who responded.
