Queen Mary or Queen Elizabeth on the Brambles banks?
« on: Sep 10, 2012, 09:49 PM »
:) Hi everybody. Can any one remember if the old Queen Mary got stuck on the same sandbank at Brambles Chine, as the Q E 2 did on her final return into Southampton on 11th of November 2008 ?

I don't think that QUEEN MARY did, but QUEEN ELIZABETH was famously aground on the Brambles for a couple of days in 1947, resulting in many of the passengers disembarking by tender.

Also Aquitania and Majestic grounded on the Brambles.
