Back again - and so much to catch up on!
Well, I'm back! My work in chronic wound care and ways to improve patients' well-being has kept me away working both in the UK and overseas for an large amount of time but now I must get back to my interests away from this!

So much to catch up on! Where to start? Firstly and most important, the QE2 is still with us, but so sad as she should be back home!

And what's this? "Hamilton" on the stern of QM2!

Thanks!

Edmund

Great to see you again, Edmund, and happy reading!

Yes, much has been going on since you left. QE2 is still in good shape, and herself, in Dubai, so that is good news as far as that goes. You can read up about her current state here, as Rob always keeps this item up to date:

Sadly, you missed the annual QE2Story get-together in Glasgow today...

Hello again,

Oh gosh so much reading to catch up on!! And a sad distraction and please allow me to include this -  as I now hear that the last turbine "mini-liner" - the "Manxman", which I used to know so well, is being scrapped at Pallion's Yard in Sunderland. Scrapping did not start until a few weeks ago but I now hear that all her superstructure has been removed to the promenade deck level. So very sad!

Please see this link:

Thanks!

Greetings to You, Edmund
It has been a while....and very good to see you back!

Passing through the lovely hills of Lancs today en route from the Clyde south,
it was impressive to see all rivers were in spate - I wonder whether you miss them?
That wouldn't be too difficult, I guess.
(I even miss the Mersey, although they are worlds apart in the 'most beautiful looking river' stakes!)

That is sad news of the Manxman - she's here too, where you last saw her on the Forum:

Hopefully she'll be remembered for many years to come.
All the best
Rosie
