This Month's Theme

Twynkle, the winner of the March Photo competition, has chosen the theme "Your favourite place onboard" for the August Photo Competition.

We are sure that there are lots of photos just ready to be uploaded, as each of you will have had a favourite place that you remember through your photos.

The album is open so now is the time to look for three photos that remind of those favourite places onboard QE2.  You can enter up to three photos.

The deadline for submitting photos is 31 August 2012.  Voting will run from 1 September  2012 until 30 September 2012.

This Month's Prize

The prize for the lucky winner is a copy of Carol Thatcher's book "Forty Years Famous"

See more details here:,4234.msg45030/topicseen.html#msg45030

A slow start to this month's competition but some wonderful photos.  Looking forward to seeing lots more.

When I uploaded my two photos this morning I found that although I had lots of photos taken onboard QE2 more often than not there is someone in the photo.   How I envy the photographers of the Forum who had the foresight to just take a photo of their favourite places.  Can I go back onboard and take the photos I should have taken?  ;D

So hard to decide on my favourite place, when I liked them (almost) all so much!

Really, the only place I could happily exclude were the deckchairs -- I never felt like lying back with my eyes shut when I could feast them instead on QE2 :) ...

Now, the choice is made, and three photos are uploaded -- looking forward to seeing the full gallery for this month when it is ready!
