Here you go:-

Its also on the main page at https://www.theqe2story.com/

You have NO IDEA how many more I have to upload - thousands and thousands and thousands...

At the moment its randomising when you refresh the page, but in future, perhaps with some help from you guys, I'll get them sorted into date sequence in a database so that they can be displayed in an 'on this day in history' type way.

ABSOLUTELY GENIUS!

A Wonderful idea

This surely will keep the Memory of QE2 well alive!

I will go to this page first - every time!
QE2 had been waiting alongside in Dubai for nearly 12 years.  Please restore her Lifeboats and Tenders to where they truly belong - she looks naked without them - please spare her this ignominy.

Wow Rob - excellent.  I have to admit my heart jumped when I saw this, but this is the next best thing to having her current time one switched on again!!

I've just added another 180 quality 'best of' images from 2006.

I've also 'softened' the watermark so it doesn't ruin the image so much.

The 'webcam' is available for your own use anywhere, or as your own homepage or whatever using this link

I've just added another 120 'best of' images for the virtual webcam to select from taking it to over 730.

There are some crackers - mainly from round Britain 2007 and April 2008 including the panama canal.

More to come!

Thank you, Rob, for all these... so many of them bring back nostalgic memories of voyages when I was on board... particularly the Autumn Colours of 2008, where you have saved some crackers!

And the soft watermark is almost transparent... very nice.

This is great stuff - each time you change the page, QE2 takes you to a completely different place...

Trieste - Southampton - Cartagena, Columbia

Where have you been?!

Rob

Do the JPG images on your hard drive have a similar date and time to what appears on the webcam image?

If so, I might be able to help you geotag and catalog the images.

I've got almost 20,000 unique positions (latitude/longitude) for QE2 on file with an approx date/time and can supply the info as an XML webservice to you if you need it.

I'm happy to help, just let me know.

Missing QE2 at work?

I've taken Rob's excellent QE2 Bridge Cam device and added it to an "auto refresh" page giving you a new view every 15 seconds.

It's superb - Rob, well done for capturing all the pics!!

Rob you must take all of the credit - I simply added a bit of HTML code :)

Thank you.

I wonder when QE2's webcam started? Does anyone have the very first pictures, or pictures from the first month, or even year, of its operation?

I looked for a QE2 webcam for a long time, not knowing whether there was any, and if so, how best to find it -- and then finally found it together with the news that QE2 was to be sold... i.e. my own first downloads are from June 2007.

Princess Cruises installed the webcam when they took over 'management' of the ship on 15 August 2005.
