QE2 ready to set sail on her 2014 season, (if only) it's been an honour being a part of this story...
...new years eve with fireworks

The fireworks were well deserved! Great news, Pete, and wonderful to see the jigsaw laid and every piece still in the game :) .

Thank you so much for the pictures of yourself, jigsaw, dog and Christmas tree -- I still think that this time of year is just perfect for jigsaws. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoy seeing it on its world travels to Forum friends.

interesting to note on side of box  ---  copyright 1967 Cunard Steamship Company. On its way tomorrow to you Helen, Happy  New Year from me'n' Jim, he's tired after a bad new years eve with fireworks

Thanks Pete for sharing the fun you have had doing the jigsaw and for sending the jigsaw on it's way for the 2014 Season.

Looking forward to hearing from Helen on the progress of the Jigsaw.
I was proud to be involved with planning QE2's 50 year conference in September 2017 in Clydebank

Hi June, all the best to you for 2014, I've got to admit that I had help from my wife yesterday , when I gave myself a headache trying to match the water/sea pieces, or it might've been the vino, got to admit she was more interested in playing with her ipod, taking pictures , all in all good fun.

Hi Pete - Thank you very much for your post and good wishes.  All good wishes to you and your family for 2014 and to our beloved QE2.  Again, the pictures are great and Jim seems very well pleased with the outcome of the jigsaw.  June

Hi All,

The QE2 has docked safe and sound in a very wet and windy Cornwall.

Looking forward to starting it. Will post pictures soon.

Looking forward to your pictures, Helen -- have a lovely time assembling it!

And I suggest that you might post it to Peter Mugridge next -- unless you are within hand delivery distance :) .

Sorry for the delay, work has kept me extremely busy.

Finally sat down and started it on Wednesday night and then finished it last night. It was great seeing it come together. And really enjoyed doing it.

So where is it going next??

Wonderful to see this succession of pictures, and the jigsaw taking shape! So glad to see you enjoyed it.

It is so interesting how we all have our own jigsaw methods -- even in my family, we each approach it differently :)

Helen, the next volunteer is Peter Mugridge -- could I ask the two of you to get in touch with each other please, so that it can be sent to the right address?

Well done Helen and thanks for taking the photos at different stages, which bring back memories of my own attempt.

Contact has been made and hands are being rubbed in anticipation. :)

Be warned - this is someone who managed to do this puzzle http://www.theworks.co.uk/p/games-puzzles/really-hard-puzzle-(sweets)/10085762 in 20 minutes flat without reference to the picture on the box, and two others in the same series in about 30 - 35 minutes...  :o
