Hi Pete - Thanks for your post.  I am sorry that QE2 (jigsaw) did not arrive before you left.  I just received a package from a friend in London, and it took 10 days to arrive at my house including the day it was mailed.  So that would hopefully put QE2 at your house on the first delivery day after Christmas.  All good wishes for a Happy Christmas !

Hi Pete - Thank you very much for your post and news of arrival of package - I think it must be QE2 (jigsaw) who had docked at your house.  She has arrived back in the UK (albeit in the form of a jigsaw) in time for Christmas !  All good wishes to you and your family for a Merry Christmas !  June

June, Got home last night , look who was waiting patiently.  (not the dog obviously, who was desperate to get out of shot).

Thanks for posting the photo Pete, and good luck with the Jigsaw!

Please if possible post another 'work in progress' and completed shot!

Can you put a piece of paper in it when you're finished, with your name and date of completion on it?

PS: Your dog is absolutely adorable!!  What breed is it?

Hi Rob, merry Christmas, he's a Whippet & he's going to help me (or not) will certainly post progress, starting tomorrow, seeing as how the forcast is grotty again. I thought of keeping the front packing complete with American postage from June (only thin brown paper) inside the box when I send it on to Helen, part of the provenance  I think.

Good to know that the jigsaw has arrived safely and looking forward to seeing more photos.

I also love the dog, he looks keen to get started on the jigsaw!

Sorry Rod, I do not understand the connection between my comment about the dog (which was in jest) and the stolen phone with the pictures of the jigsaw.  But I am sure you will elaborate on the connection! :)

Todays update,  just like a teenager he soon became bored & left me to it,  I find this a tricky one to do.     He's a good boy Rod, he only steals food, not interested in anything else.

My dog, when we were doing the jigsaw would leap up and grab the tablecloth and upset or disassemble the jigsaw.

Hi Pete and All -- I am so pleased that our QE2 (in jigsaw form) was docked at your house upon arrival home !  And thanks for posting the great pictures.  Your assistant (your cute dog) looks indeed ready to help.  I am sure he went to sleep as he knew you had things well in hand.  And indeed, the jigsaw is a very well travelled jigsaw - amazing amount of miles !!  I am looking forward to the next progress report !  June

QE2 ready to set sail on her 2014 season, (if only) it's been an honour being a part of this story,
interesting to note on side of box  ---  copyright 1967 Cunard Steamship Company. On its way tomorrow to you Helen, Happy  New Year from me'n' Jim, he's tired after a bad new years eve with fireworks

Hi Pete - Great work and you beat me in the amount of time it took to fit together QE2 !  I wonder how many ports of call our QE2 jigsaw will make during 2014 - a lot I hope.  Thanks for posting the picture.  Helen, I am sure you will enjoy it as much as the rest of us who have "built" our QE2 !!  Happy New Year to you, Pete, and all here on The QE2 Story Forum and to our QE2 so far away !!  June

Hi June, all the best to you for 2014, I've got to admit that I had help from my wife yesterday , when I gave myself a headache trying to match the water/sea pieces, or it might've been the vino, got to admit she was more interested in playing with her ipod, taking pictures , all in all good fun.
