Hi June,  I have tried a few ways to thank Isabelle for all the work that she has done for me in posting the Ruby topic, the only one she wants is (youv'e guessed it) for me to have a go at said jigsaw, along with pictures, so bring it on!, it's the least I can do to repay Isabelle. Send me a PM as to logistics please,
     Pete.......

Dear Pete, I am delighted that you are grasping the nettle and getting ready to rebuild QE2 all over again!

And June, thank you for the pictures -- it is such a joy to see the wonderful jigsaw being used, and I am sure it was fun for all concerned too. Memories of that far larger jigsaw on the ship... and so nice to hear about your student's reaction.

And it is a real bonus to see that all pieces are there. Losses are often hard to avoid, but it is great that they have not yet happened :) .

Hi Isabelle - Thank you very much for your post.  Yes, the pieces are all there and just waiting for Pete to take over.  Thank you very much for the opportunity to fit together this QE2 jigsaw.  Let's hope there will be more takers after Pete as well.  June

Hi Pete - The QE2 jigsaw went into the post at 8:00 AM this morning (Monday).  Hopefully, it will "dock" at your house by the end of the week.  June

The QE2 jigsaw should be flying over the Atlantic right about now...

So, QE2 clocks up one more crossing, albeit by proxy!  :)

Great, Helen! I wonder whether you ever got the chance to potter over the HUGE jigsaws on the table by the Mauretania painting?

Hi Pete - QE2 (jigsaw) should be in England.  :)

We should try to keep track of the number of miles its travelled.

Also - how about a signed piece of paper in the box, logging who, where, when?

Glad this topic is back on track, and in the spirit with which it was originally conceived!
