Just thought I would bring forward this topic again so that we all might enjoy the launch photos of our beloved QE2.  There are so many wonderful photos here !   :)
I agree with you June! There are pictures that I have never seen before of QE2's launch here! ;)

Hi Brandon - Glad that you are enjoying QE2's launch.  Be sure to go through all of the replies to read all the commentaries and see all of the photos. I think there are 2 pages.  June   :)

Were those the tapestries that were damaged on one cruise?

Yes, by drunk crew members who were subsequently and quite rightly reprimanded (sacked). I think in about 2005, I remember reading about it at the time I think?

First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.
