There is a lot coming out about Jimmy Savile that suggests that he will be remembered for what he was rather than the image we were given.     

He was an icon in the eighties and I like many people watched his TV shows without recognising what was happening to young girls who were in the audience.  It is unfortunate that the victims had not been supported before now so that they could tell the world what they had experienced. 

Why was he given a knighthood when there were people who knew what he had done.  A lot of questions and many answers that we will not know for a long time.

I couldn't agree more Lynda and watching various progs back now knowing what I do, I can see just how uncomfortable some of the young girls appear being in close proximity.  A sad and sorry tale indeed
