Photo of the month competition - instructions on how to vote for your favourite photo

The QE2 Story Forum Photo Competition has provided some fantastic photos for our 2012 Calendar and we are now looking forward to seeing more amazing photos for next year's edition.

Forum members can vote for their favorite photo (s).  Each member has 3 votes (but please do not vote for your own photo).  The voting is open to all members regardless of whether or not you submitted a photo.

To make it easier for you we have posted the photos below.

But you can also  view the photos submitted by members in the Gallery - where you will probably get a better view of the photos
Click on the Gallery button from the forum or click on this link

https://www.theqe2story.com/forum/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=52

Choose up to three photos you want to vote for noting photo details (name of photo and name of who has posted it) then
tick the relevant boxes on the voting poll.

You will not see the results until the voting has closed on 30 November when the winner will be announced.

Thank-you for voting.

There are some fantastic photos that have been submitted to the Photo Competition but only 7 people have voted so far.  Please support the efforts of everyone who submitted photos by voting for your favourite photo.    :)

Heck if even a quarter who ordered the calendar could vote it would be something. I do wonder is it a thing that people fully intend to do, but just dont get around to doing it... Is perhaps the whole process taking too long? and that the competition should start, run, and have the votes in, and the winner announced all within the month :-\ so that on the 1st everyone is starting fresh so to speak?
But its the same story, how can more people be persuaded to take part, if you think, between the members there much be many, many 1000s of QE2 photos out there..
From the moment you first glimpsed the Queen,
you just knew you were in for a very special time ahead.!

It bits me that i only added one photo this time being busy with the house has taking all my time, sorry.

But really the bottom line is that people dont value the efforts of other, it cant be the complicated to vote. For example until now today the forum has had 22 people online on the other days you have 60- 70- 80 people online per day, why dont the members vote its beyond me, it all just takes a couple of clicks nothing more. The more votings that came in the more it will encourage other members to added photos. So please al members do vote.

Thanks Myles and Louise for trying to generate votes for the Photo of the Month Competition.

It is difficult to know why more members do not vote to support the competition.  I have even added a link from the news box to help direct members to the poll and we will see if this adds to the final total of voters at the end of this month.  I also think the new system of copying the photo address provides a better image for member to vote on.

We do appreciate the effort that has been made by members who have voted but would like to see more people taking part.

As at 11 November we have had 16 people voting for the October Photo of the Month  :(  We could do with some more people supporting the competition by taking time to vote. So if you have not voted please think about doing so - see poll at top of this page.

How does the number of voters compare with other months?

June    16
July   14
Aug   13

September - there were two photo competitions to vote for and why Crew at Work generated more voters than QE2 on the Clyde is difficult to understand as the two polls were running at the same time.

Crew at Work      22
QE2 on the Clyde           17
