Well, let's see... there's a small private boat in the foreground so it's inshore somewhere.  The Sun is on the portside so she's sailing west.  The fuzziness seems to be disguising some low land relief behind her.  I'll suggest the Solent?

To reply to Peter--sorry --NO--it's not the Solent. The "private boat" is in fact one of the QE2 lifeboats transfering passengers from ashore back to the QE2. I like your thoughts regarding the Sun being on the Portside and therefore she is sailing West. The "Fuzziness" was actually caused by both sea mist comming in and the camera used. More of this in a minute. ;)

To answer Myles comment---seeing he lives in roughly the same part of the country as myself he is really pretty well "Spot on"--
Darn it Myles--you are TOO GOOD :D-- :P-- ;D

To Isabelle--i had a really good laugh at your comment :)--unfortunatly ---wrong :(--but a nice try :'(--maybe i could take a photo of my model of the QE2 when it is built in a local swimming pool at the seaside and see if it turns out similar to the photo i posted.

In actual fact--when the QE2 visited Anstruther a few years ago, my son and myself went for a boat trip from Anstruther harbour out to-- and around the QE2. I borrowed a video camera from a workmate--it was an old one that he had no further use for as he had bought a new one. I filmed the event from the moment we boarded the 100 seat day trip boat right round the QE2 and back again. The time was about 7-45pm and took about 50 minutes to complete. The mist started rolling in just as we rounded the stern on the QE2 and some views of the starboard side are mist covered. The picture i posted was taken as a "still" image from the video as we were going back to harbour, hence the mist/fuzziness. I have transferred the video footage to disc as this is another voyage that can never be repeated and is now part of the history of the QE2.

Far from it, it was the wave pattern that gave it away..... ;)
