The land of Fruit and Nuts/California shakes

For visitors old and new, this shop is closing very soon.

Its probably more famous for its california shakes..

I must admit, on my visits it wasnt a shop l really bothered with. However on the last visit decided l may as well try one of the shakes, and given that it was winter in LA, lt was pretty warm. You can taste the quality of the shakes and are certainly thick enough to enjoy for a long time as they slowly melt, Indeed sitting by the Promenade windows as the sun beat down, it was certainly very refreshing
Its a shame when one of the shops closes on the QM.

Anybody else have any memories of the shops onboard?

I remember Starbucks, or rather the coffee shop selling Starbucks.  There was also a small gift shop, though they didn't have much QM stuff from what I recall but I did pick up a photo CD.

Sadly the shop space is still unoccupied..

This space cries out for restoration. I hope they'll do some careful and compassionate restoration, as this space was once part of the stunning Long Gallery, with some original art still in situ.

The adjacent "meeting rooms" are almost always disused, a sad waste.  Now that the shake shop is closed, the time is ripe for them to put their money where there mouth is regarding their seldom-practiced mantra of "preservation and restoration".
