Rod! Hi!
I have some vague recollections of you as a cadet. Did you ever stand watch in the boiler room?

To add to Beardy's list of people you might remember - Brian Atkinson (Donkeyman), Mick Earley, Dixie Deane - I recall (Big) Jack Humphries and Tony Spicer - who sadly took his own life in New York while I was there.

Hi Rod,

I just read your rely to Isabelle from quite a few years back and you reference lying under an operating table. That was an awful February night. I got a bollocking for leaving the MCR while transiting NY harbor. That time is seared in to my mind. I hope your are keeping well!  Fred
