Hi Bruce,
Thank you for this - Royal Clipper does look lovely!
How is Lone Gerd - is she down there with you?
She could have missed some significant off-shore weather (UK waters) in the past few days.
If she's within reach of the Thames, I'd offer to go and Gaze-in-Wonder!

Hi Rosie
Lone Gerd is safely berthed in Milford Haven. We drove here at the beginning of September. An interesting trip via France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia. Weather here has been fabulous and it will no doubt be a thermal shock to get back to Wales in November.

We have however met up with a sister ship of Lone Gerd in German ownership which is wintering in Kotor. They live on board and charter in the summer. http://www.cutty-jean.com/

Royal Clipper is a fabulous looking ship and is now level pegging with QM2 as my next cruise choice. The masts are not just for show, they really do sail between destinations. Posting a couple of photos taken on a nicer day.

Oh, Bruce!
What a Ship (5 Masts - Hmm! Actually, the two at her stern are her 'funnels'!) and what a choice...QM2 v Royal Clipper...
Have just spent some time trying to find a photo of the young 'clipper' in heavy seas - it seems as if these are few and far between....

So - on balance, still think Lone Gerd (and possibly her sister ship, Cutty Jean) would be fair contest too!
Happy holidays
Rosie

Yes June she is. Here is another photo I took earlier this week when she called in to Kotor.

Just to add to the ever bigger growing list of ships in Kotor, we called in for the day on board MV Ventura on 18th July 2014 after sailing down from Venice, this year a very similar itinerary is scheduled for both Queen Victoria & PO Oceana

Port of Kotor have published their list of ships booked for April, May and June 2018.
Hopefully the pdf will come out on the attachment.
