QE2 painting .

Here's a piece of artwork I did ,its a trypych in oils . signifies an atlantic crossing although I did put the liver buildings on the english side of the pond (well I am from liverpool)  .some old guy standing next to it .....oh my god that's me .

Quite amazing isn't it, just how many of us on here have done QE2 paintings? :)

thanks for that peter ,just looked at yours, very good...mines a lot larger so its easier with the details ,so it didn't take as long .

Great idea, that of the triptych, with both shores of the Atlantic and QE2 in between, steaming ahead with all her power.

She did leave an indelible mark in your heart and your life  :D  .

And here I sit at my desk, facing two pictures of QE2 (not my artwork though...) and enjoying them every day!

thanks for that peter ,just looked at yours, very good...mines a lot larger so its easier with the details ,so it didn't take as long .

Mine took so long mainly because I work with oils, so have to wait for each bit to dry before doing the next bit, combined with that is I normally only get time to paint at weekends and then not every weekend...  I do agree that bigger details are faster to actually paint, though. :)

Whenever I hear a sea story I think of the first time I saw the QE2 and the great adventures that followed.
