Poll : How was "our ship" most commonly referred to?

I'm going to have to think about my vote as I think her referenced name depends on the time period.  Should we think about breaking this poll up among the decades (e.g. 70's, 80's, 90's 00's)?

I understand, but in this case I need to come up with a single answer for this - there's an important reason for my question! - so please try to think of a single overall answer.

how about this one ,the gay lads on board in my time ( 70's early 80's) used to refer to her as 'the black pig'...captain pugwash's ship ..don't know where that came from .peter

Peter, that nickname, I believe, came from her poor slow speed maneouvrability in port because of the long term bow thruster problems.

We discussed this in a topic about pilots... But it wasn't just the weak thrusters (even when they worked), it was also  the arrangement of the rudder and props, and lack of stern thrusters - she just wasn't manoeuvrable at slow speed at all.

She IS Your Old Tub - not just any old tub, is she?!
(Come to think of it - looking at her from either side and along her hull, she's got a sizable beam on her, she does look a bit tubby too!)

I knew of an entertainer onboard who referred to her as the old "Rust Bucket".With much hint of sarcasm, he would also call her "Five Star Ship". :p

The only nickname I ever heard and used was "The Black Pig", it had nothing to do with steering either!

Many people refer to QE2 as an "RMS" which she never was. She was SS and then MV.
