Hi Barrie, The "I Love the QE2" is the only one in the world. I did the artwork myself and have the details saved on my computer.
I then got in touch with a certain supplier who put the image on to the mug for me.  I am happy to get a mug done for you but i think it better to wait till you return from your cruise. Just get in touch and i will see you get one.

In friendship,

Bob.

I have been contacted by Flickr member Jorgen Lonn, who has kindly offered to let us have 20 QE2 postcards that he has collected.

There are no scans of the postcards, but I imagine that, if there are QE2 postcard collectors here, all these cards will be highly welcome. Please let me know below if you are interested. I could then put Jorgen in touch with you.

Jorgen's Flickr pages are here :

Been a while since anything has been posted here so I thought I would 'show you mine'. Saw one of the paperweights on e-bay a little while back at $65, but haven't seen another Royal wedding medallion.

Managed to get this up on my hall wall - given to dad on his retirement by his fellow Officers on QE2 at end of 1983.  Will come in useful if we burn the turkey.....

Also found a box of 12 specially blended QE2 whisky miniatures (not opened miraculously) which I think must date from early days plus a tin of Rothman's cigarettes from maiden voyage (hmm, the fags have gone though)!

Happy Christmas everyone, Jane

Hi Jane - Wonderful photos of the bell presented to your Dad.  Thank you for sharing them with us.  Interestingly, the inscription on the plaque above the bell refers to QE2 as "RMS" even though the bell and plaque were presented to your Dad by the officers of QE2.

I thought the same June.  I have read about people's misconception that QE2 was 'RMS' when she was not and also fact that many of her officers even referred to her as 'RMS'.  This bell would seem to support that!!

Just found the pack of QE2 playing cards, unused for many a year now... I rather like the merry Jokers!
