Not sure if she remains so but she was the longest ship ever to call there.

I'll caveat that with largest passenger ship.  USS Forrestal (CV-59) visited New Orleans in 1987 and broke the record for largest ship to sail the Mississippi River.  I was attached to the ship then but not aboard for the port visit.
