What is your QE2Story.com Ratio?
« on: Jan 16, 2011, 11:04 PM »
If you were lucky enough to travel on QE2, you can work this out - your ratio is the number of days you spent on board QE2, divided by the number of days you've spent on here!   You can use hours too, the effect is the same.

Mine is, tragically, 15d/75d(!) = 0.2

Right....

I see I have been online to the forum for 17 days 13 hours and a few minutes; let's call that 17½ days for convenience.

My time on board QE2 was 6 nights, allowing for the boarding / disembarking times it was close enough to 6¾ days.

So...

6.75 / 17.5 = 0.3857

I've been on the forum for 13 days, 8 hours and 52 minutes. Which is roughly 13.375 days. And I spent about 8.75 days on QE2.

So 13.375 / 8.75 = 0.6542056, approximately 0.7 days. If I did the math correctly.

(I'm taking time spent on board QE2 to mean the duration of the voyage/cruise and not actual time spent on board the ship. My math is way too awful to calculate that. ;D)

Mine is 3.33.

Eight crossings that I'll call 5 days each is 40 days.  Been on the forum 11 days, 16 hrs which I'll call 12 days.  That make it 3.33 which should hold for another month or so.

WHOOPS. Told you my math was bad.

I'll recalculate later/tomorrow. When I am less sleepy.

I think you've done the maths right, just shown it with the lead numbers the wrong way round.

8.75 / 13.375 gives the same number that you wrote down.

I have sailed 51 days on QE2 and have been on the forum 11 days 9 hours and 43 minutes which is just over 11 and a third days.  So does that make the ratio 4.5?

23 Days onboard divided by 11 days here equals 2.09.

66 divided by about 11 is about a ratio of 6 (I think!)

I'm envious of everybody who's real qe2 time still exceeds their time spent here! I passed that milestone in early 2009!

12 nights /4 days = 3

Can I add 0.5 for a Prince's Trust lunch? :)

It would improve my ratio to 3.125
