Before my time on the QE2 ships and transatlantic crossings were figments of my imagination.  The Titanic and Poseidon movies were my only frame of reference, both disasters. I remember getting out of the taxi on the pier in NYC and looking up at the QE2 for the first time and thinking ... Titanic.  Two weeks later I hated to leave her and the sea.  Since then it has become my habit to read and listen to news reports about incidents at sea, large and small, good and bad.

Whenever I hear a sea story I think of the first time I saw the QE2 and the great adventures that followed.

My lingering QE2 habit is to continue cruising.  I love standing on deck with the wind in my face.  Dressing for dinner and cocktails are favourite habits and I will always toast the QE2 when cruising so as never to forget her.

Could not have said this better myself!  Perfect.
