Hi Folks,

I wont be attending the get together this year - but if you're eating at the Tontine you'll pass by my house (Patrick Street, just round the corner from the Tontine)!

Hope you all have a good day.

Thanks Gav and Lauren for letting us know that you cannot manage to come along to the QE2 Story week-end.

Look out for news about our get together in future newsletters.

I don't think we are going to be able to make the Tall Ships Weekend.  I have been trying to get return flights from Brum up to Glasgow that leave on Sat am and return on Sat evening and there don't seem to be any.  We are due at a family birthday lunch in Cornwall at 12 pm on the Sunday so need to get to Glasgow and back in the day.  Would have really enjoyed it:((

Hollihedge, assuming there are no engineering works on the day it is possible to do that by train:

08.20 from Birmingham New Street - Carlisle 11.03 change there for 11.11 to Glasgow Central arrive 12.32.

18.40 Glasgow Central - Birmingham New Street 22.40.

If you do try this, don't miss the 18.40 as it's the last one south...

There is then the 43 minute train from Glasgow Central to Greenock leaving at  12.35 or 13.05.

For the return journey you would need to leave Greenock West station on the 17.26 train at the latest.
