Ocean Pictures Video - From Steam to Engine
« on: Feb 22, 2009, 04:21 PM »
I have a copy from Ocean Pictures Video titled from Steam to Engine. It is dated 1985 or 1986 and it's a rather bad copy. I cannot find any contacts for Ocean Pictures anywhere. I'd like to find out if this video is copy righted or not! Any ideas ??? ??? ???

Thanks

I'd love to see this!!  It must be late 86 or 87 if it actually shows the work being carried out/completed.

I have the 84 inside the QE2 by Ocean Pictures, they used to have the onboard photo shop (with reasonable prices)
Its not one of the better videos (do any good videos really exist l wonder) the acting is a bit stilted, the music is dare l say dreadful but is does show QE2 before her new look.
Copyright...lm not sure what its says  about that, not even sure if Ocean Pictures still exist, l would be tempted to throw caution to the wind and chance your hand.... Of course if you did decide to make copies for resale that might be pushing things too far, however if you allowed contributations to postage etc etc ahem ahem.....lm sure we wouldnt tell on you ;)

Thank you... I have no intention to through them on EBAY ;) ;) ;) but wanted to make a few copies for friends. Wasn't sure if that might get me in trouble. I couldn't find them anywhere on the web, so it is possible they are no longer in the business. I like the advice about throwing caution into the wind...

I wasnt so much thinking of ebay as a means of selling them, more as folks on here would be lm sure prepared to pay for the cost of getting them copied.
Besides lm probably the last to give advice on copyright....... ::) those that live in glass houses etc etc :-X
 cheers
