Having moved to Cape Town a couple of years ago as I married a South African.

I left Cunard about a year ago having worked for them as EO for just over five years; more or less evenly split between QE2 and QM2 - as a senior officer I did get to know rather a lot about them.

How would you feel if QE2 had turned up in South Africa ?  Would you have gone to visit?

 I was born in SA, just south of Johannesburg living in Germany now.I worked on the QE2 from 1990-1998.Hope you get a chance to read my blog.

Hi I have just joined this site. I worked on the QE2 as manageress of Steiner salon from 1979-1980....long timem agao. Best time ever. I now spend about 8 months each year in South Africa, Hillcrest near Durban. I was in CT this year for a short holiday with some friends. Just thought I would make contact.
