once or twice i got into a little trouble , and once or twice i had to visit the bridge, nothing to major just missing the ship in New York and jumping from 2 deck aft to the sea in Curaco and on both occasions the captain was A J Hutcheson. pretty soon after these occasions some of the waiters would mention that my Dad is looking for me again and i was captains pet because of almost name sake although slightly different in the spelling the pronunciation was the same. so i felt lucky.there was a 3rd occasion during Captains inspection but you know that story already.funny thing was the previous Captain i only served at the table and never went to visit him on the bridge.that was TD Ridley .maybe if it was him i would have been sacked he was a bit of a hard nose i think.
