The theme for the January 2024 Competition, "QE2 in Hamburg or Another European Port", was chosen by Lahrdeco.

Please vote for your three favourite photos. This is the second competition of the 2025 calendar year, with winning and runner-up photos going towards the 2025 QE2 Story Calendar.

Voting is easy, but you need to be registered as a Forum member and log into the Forum to vote.  Whether or not you have submitted photos, please support those who have participated, by choosing your 3 favourite ones, noting the details, then tick the relevant boxes on the poll.  If you have entered photos, please do not vote for your own pictures.

  • At Mach 2 three days after being on QE2...
I have, as usual, done much head-scratching and finally cast my votes following long deliberation.

Just voted, a tricky choice!
First sailed on QE2 in August 2003 aged 6 years old. Last sailed on QE2 in July 2008. Last saw the seagoing QE2 in person from the decks of QM2, on QE2's last Transatlantic crossing (Eastbound tandem) in October 2008. Visited QE2 in her new life, in Dubai, in January 2020 and August 2022.

Thanks to all the 21 voters who took the time to look over these lovely photos and cast their votes. You can now see the full results of this month's competition. It is remarkable that two photos took a very strong lead, but that almost every other photo got at least one vote. To me, this is a very satisfying result, showing that in this forum we have plenty of photos that we all enjoy, and that, as our calendar also shows, we have great quality of photos collected here.

Thank you all for regularly participating and contributing to these photo competitions, both by letting us see your photos, and by casting your votes.
